Connecting to a Laserfiche Repository
When you are creating Laserfiche documents, PhotoDocs needs to connect to the repository where the documents will be stored. The connection to the repository needs to be made before creating documents in the Workspace so you can access the templates, fields, tags, folders, and volumes of that repository in the Document Properties Pane.
- If you open PhotoDocs independently of a Laserfiche repository, PhotoDocs will prompt you to connect to a Laserfiche Repository when you first move a document to the Workspace.
- If you are already connected to a repository but want to change to a different one, you can do so from the Change Laserfiche repository link under the Document Properties Pane.
- If you open PhotoDocs in reprocessing mode, you will not need to create or modify a connection to a Laserfiche Repository, since you are editing pages within existing documents in Laserfiche.
To connect to a Laserfiche Repository
- In the Laserfiche Repository Selection dialog box, choose a repository.
- Specify whether to use Windows Authentication. If you do not choose Windows Authentication, you will later be prompted to specify a Laserfiche username and password.
- Specify whether you want PhotoDocs to remember your login information. If this is selected, the login will be remembered until you restart your Windows session.
- Click OK.
- If you are using Laserfiche Authentication, specify your Laserfiche username and password and click OK.
